Troubleshooting Online Library Resources: A Guide for Users: Chrome

Information on troubleshooting problems with access to the library's online resources.

Clearing cache in Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. On your browser toolbar, click More Moreand then More Tools and then Clear Browsing Data.
  3. In the "Clear browsing data" box, click the checkboxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  4. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Choose beginning of time to delete everything. Note: This option does not appear on all devices. 
  5. Click Clear browsing data.

Chrome and PDF's

The Chrome browser sometimes doesn't play well with some of the library resources,  especially when it comes to PDFs.  This has something to do with Chrome's built-in PDF viewer.  Please refer to Google's help page for troubleshooting if you find you can't access a PDF using Chrome.
