Library Computers & Printers

There are over 100 Windows computers throughout the Hammermill Library. All of these computers require a user logon - this is your Mercyhurst email user name and password. If you have questions about the computers or use of a computer lab, please contact The Mercyhurst IT Helpdesk. Library workstations and computer labs may be found in the following locations:

Reference Computer Stations There are sit-down workstations in the Reference area on the second floor. These computers are primarily intended for access to our online catalog and other online resources as well as the Internet.  There is no word processing or other applications available on these machines.
Weber Hall There are 20 PCs with the Microsoft Office suite in addition to Internet access.
L325 (Language Lab) - Computer Lab There are 18 PCs in the lab with the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet access on the third floor of the library. A schedule of classes and other functions are posted outside the lab.
Wireless access There are wireless access points throughout the library providing coverage for the entire building. Use of the wireless service requires a laptop computer or mobile device equipped with a wireless Ethernet hardware. For information on how to connect, visit the Mercyhurst IT HUB page or contact The Mercyhurst IT Helpdesk (814-824-3200).

Within Hammermill Library there are six universal print/copy/scan stations. Each floor has a station that prints from networked computers in the library and mobile devices. For more details on how to connect and print, visit the Mercyhurst IT Hub Printing page here. Below is a description of each printer/copier/scanner location, where you can receive your print jobs and make copies or scans. A valid Mercyhurst ID Card is required to operate the library print/copy/scan machines. Scanning to a file or email is free, but printing on paper may deduct from students' accounts in some way. Visit the Mercyhurst IT Hub page for details on student printing allowances and costs. Always remember to log off the printer when you are finished!
