Library Computers & Printers

There are over 100 accessible computers throughout the Hammermill Library. All of these computers require a user logon - this is your Mercyhurst email user name and password. If you have questions about the computers or use of a computer lab, please contact us. Library workstations and computer labs may be found in the following locations:

Reference Computer Stations and OPAC Kiosks There are 11 sit-down workstations in the Reference area on the second floor and 6 stand-up kiosks throughout the library. These computers are primarily intended for access to our online catalog and other online resources as well as the Internet.  There is no word processing or other applications available on these machines.
Weber Hall There are 20 PCs with the Microsoft Office suite in addition to Internet access.
L100 (Walker-Statler) - Computer Lab There are 24 PCs in this lab with the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet access on the first floor of the library. In addition, there is an instructor podium and projector in this lab. A schedule of classes and other functions are posted outside the lab.
L325 (Language Lab) - Computer Lab There are 18 PCs in the lab with the Microsoft Office Suite and Internet access on the third floor of the library. A schedule of classes and other functions are posted outside the lab.
Wireless access There are wireless access points throughout the library providing coverage for the entire building. Use of the wireless service requires a laptop computer equipped with a wireless Ethernet card. For information on purchasing or configuring a wireless Ethernet card, please contact the Helpdesk (x3200).

Within Hammermill Library there are six universal print/copy/scan stations. Each floor has a station that prints from L100, L325, Weber Hall, and the Reference Computer Stations. Below is a description of each printer/copier/scanner location, where you can receive your print jobs and make copies or scans. A valid Mercyhurst ID Card is required to operate the library print/copy/scan machines. Each student is given 167 free prints at the beginning of each term for printing (students may add funds to their card as needed). Black and white prints cost $0.05, color prints cost $0.39 per print, and scanned materials are free. Always remember to log off the printer when you are finished!
