The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in Respiratory Care program’s mission is to prepare competent, confident and caring Registered Respiratory Therapists. The goal of our program is to prepare our graduates to excel at the Registered Respiratory Therapist level and to take both the National Board for Respiratory Care Therapist Multiple-Choice Examination (TMC) and Clinical Simulation Examination, credentials required to practice as a respiratory therapist in most states.
Successful students must have a genuine desire to work with people. An aptitude in the sciences is helpful, as is a willingness to devote ample time to independent study, homework and group study. This guide has been prepared to help students focus their attention to resources our library provides.
