It is important to develop a good academic relationship with your professors and your academic advisor. This relationship will show them that you are interested and involved with your specific class studies and want to be successful in your studies. Make sure each of your professors/instructors know you. If you have specific course-related questions stop by their office to clarify your questions regarding class-related materials. Your professor/instructor can be an ally in your academic pursuits. Creating positive relationships with faculty may also help you when you need references for employment and/or graduate school. Know your professors-you may have more in common with them than you realize!
