Business Source Company Profiles can be searched using the "Search Everything" feature in EBSCO, but accessing the database directly gives you fast access to company profiles from MarketLine and Medtrack.

Industry Classification Codes
<p>SIC codes (Standard Industrial Classification codes) and NAICS Codes (North American Industry Classification System codes) are used to classify companies by the kind of business they generally conduct. For example, the SIC Code for Apple is 7372 and its NAICS Code is 511210. By searching for these codes, you can view listings of Apple's likely competitors or a list showing the general players in the Computer software industry.You can find SIC codes listed on the SEC's website here, and you can find NAICS codes on the US Census website and The Bureau of Labor Statistics here. You can also copy the codes from profiles of known companies within the industry you want to search.
